New Legislation Effecting Companies in South Africa
Date: 11/11/2009 - 12/11/2009
The new companies act has been signed by the President and published in the Gazette 32121 of 9 April 2009. The act will come into operation on a date to be published in the Gazette. This date may not be before April 2010 and not later than the end of December 2010. From the effective date of the new Act, companies will have a two year phase in period, during which they need to make sure of full compliance with all aspects of the Act.
