New Business Trends  Internet Business
Internet on your TV
Internet sites these days brim with TV shows and other videos that can be pumped from the Web to your television via your PC. Soon, if the tech and TV industries have their way , we’ll also spend a lot more time cruising the internet using the TV as monitor. It’s all part of the drive to make living rooms a hub for digital entertainment.
But so far it’s not as smooth as it could be. To test the experience both ways – watching internet video offerings on TV, and browsing the Web using the TV as monitor – we used a Hewlett-Packard Digital Entertainment Centre and a Mac Mini from Apple Computer. Both worked pretty well for viewing video, but we thought web browsing was tedious and a strain on the eyes with the television set.
